Joe Selkirk a well-known Sheenboro resident lost his home on Saturday to a fire.

It was totally destroyed and Joe was lucky to get out alive. He purchased the Darcy farm many years ago and this heritage home was an going project for him. Being off the grid, insurance was not an option for him so a Go fund me page was set up for him by Julie Giraldo.

Birthday greetings and best wishes go to Emma Rose Silverson on April 7.

Toni Fleury April 12. Carly Vandereyk April 11 and Rita Payne on April 14.

There are periodic checkpoints at the border crossing into Quebec but an uncontrollable pandemic like we are facing calls for desperate measures.

In the west Pontiac we are very lucky to have three dépanneurs, a grocery store/meat market, a bakery, two take-out restaurants and a gas station.

They welcome your business and are happy to accommodate everyone.

There will be no Easter services this year but one lady told me she gets all dolled up to watch Sunday Service on television.

A great idea for Easter Sunday and good way to start your week.
