Last fall, after all my canning was done I thought, ‘No more gardening for me!’ Then the spring came. My garden is bigger than ever. I have planted many types of . . .
seeds and every day I watch to see signs of life.
There is something about watching a plant peek out of the dirt that thrills my heart. I somehow forget that I will have to work very hard to keep out the weeds and harder still at harvest time. But it all feels worth it, when the plants appear.
In life, we all plant different types of seeds. We begin teaching our little children truths that will bring them a fruitful and healthy life one day. In words and actions we show them a good way. And every day we have an opportunity to treat people with seeds of kindness.
Most of what we are doing seems to go unnoticed and every act is repeated countless times sometimes without evidence of anything worthwhile happening. But, don’t be fooled! There is always a harvest. Whatever you sow, you will reap. Press on.
