I was texting a friend the other day and the text came out different than what I typed. Every so often, I find a word gets inserted into my conversation. Sometimes funny, sometimes aggravating, it is usually not what I meant.

It got me thinking: communication is so important. We can misunderstand or be misunderstood and that creates problems. God calls us to love each other and with His help we can. He says, ‘be slow to anger, slow to speak and quick to listen.’ A good practice. And when we do talk, don’t insert our own meaning, rather, before coming to a conclusion, ask for clarification. Slow, slow, listen.
