Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived in Chapeau atop a fire truck for the town’s annual parade organized in Santa’s name.

The event, put on by the Chapeau Recreation Association and the Chapeau Lions Club, had over 15 floats, including from the Chapeau Minor Hockey Association, Dr. Wilbert Keon School and Studio Dreamshare, with Santa’s ride closing out the parade.

Following the event the Lions Club hosted a lunch with hot dogs and hot chocolate with marshmallows, donated by the Giant Tiger in Pembroke.

David Brisard, president of the Chapeau Lions Club, helped put hundreds of hot dogs into buns Sunday afternoon.

“It’s nice to see everyone come out and the kids come out and get into the festive season,” he said.
Shelley Conroy and Karolann Gauthier are both members of the Chapeau RA.

“It’s always so overwhelming to see the smiles on the children and the excitement for them to see Santa,” Gauthier said.
