Congratulations to Amanda (Smith) and Ryan Tracy on the arrival of their baby boy on Oct. 22. His name is Fergus and he is a little brother for Charlie. Best wishes to the whole family on their little bundle of blue.

This past Sunday, the Quyon Pastoral Charge held their annual Harvest Draw following the church service. This year, the prizes included a handmade afghan throw crafted and donated by Mary-Ellen Young, a queen-sized quilt, made and donated by Linda Prior-Hobbs as well as two big baskets of goodies donated by church members. The lucky winners were Debbie Hudson, who took home the afghan and Joan Rusenstrom who won the quilt. Gerald Nugent took home the first basket and Beverley Draper-Langlois was the recipient of the second basket. The Harvest Draw was a huge success, and the church is very grateful to all who supported this fundraiser. Up next is the return of the Christmas Facebook Auction. Stay tuned for more details coming soon.

Birthday wishes are going out to Paisley Thomson on Oct. 28, to Brady Trudeau on Oct. 29, to Melanie McCann-Lang and Doug Kennedy on Nov. 1 and to Shawn Schwartz and Dianne McCann on Nov. 2. Best wishes to everyone celebrating this week.

Halloween is quickly approaching, and it sounds like it will be a fun one in Quyon this year. The Halloween Howler is being held on Oct. 30 at the Community Centre. There will be laser tag in the park, a costume contest, music, a light show, inflatable pubs, prizes and fun for all ages. The party gets started at 6 p.m. and all COVID protocols will be in place. Then Sunday night is the big event. I am looking forward to seeing all of the little ghosts and goblins out trick-or-treating. Have a safe and happy Halloween, everyone.
