Our sympathies are with Regis Young and his family after the loss of his wife Betsy on Feb. 25. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.
Birthday wishes are going out to Hollie Leach, Mackenzie Barr, and Bill Young who are all celebrating on March 10, to Faith Hamilton who is turning 12 on March 12, to Donna Provost, Maddox and Zayden Alexander on March 13 and to Ellard Kennedy on March 15. Best wishes to everyone celebrating this week.
As we all search desperately for signs of spring, it was exciting to see . . .
a big one in Quyon this past week. The Casse Croute du Village has opened for the season once again. The opening of the chip stand is always a welcome sight in our community and I anxiously look forward to my first snack of poutine. Welcome back to Robert and his staff.
We are coming up on the one year anniversary of when the world turned upside down due to the pandemic, with lockdowns and stay-at-home orders hitting around mid-March of 2020. I don’t like to think back on it, as it was a very difficult time that I don’t like to dwell on. Most of us had no idea we’d still be experiencing this COVID-19 life a year later, yet here we are. If I can find a silver lining in all of this it’s that I’ve learned throughout this past year that I can do hard things. In the beginning, I didn’t think I could. We have made it this far and we just have to put our heads down and get through this last push to end the pandemic. We can do it.
