my sister and niece to the Shawville Street Market. It was a beautiful day for it and it was wonderful to see many familiar faces out enjoying the day. We came home with some fun goodies from the many local vendors set up along the sidewalk of Main Street. It was also nice to pop in to a few of the stores along the way and see them bustling with activity. It feels great to have a little bit of normalcy back in our lives. Kudos to Jill McBane and her helpers for setting this up. It was a terrific day.
It is also nice to see kids’ sports starting back up for the summer. I know minor ball has kicked off in Quyon, with teams in all age groups, so that is fabulous to see. A big thumbs up to all involved in organizing, coaching, umping, and of course the children who are playing. Have fun.
Birthday wishes are going out to Cowan Ramsay, who is celebrating on July 16 and to Cindy Lapierre on July 18. Happy birthday to Kerry-Lynn Campbell, Ricky Belland and Gwen Peppard who all celebrate on July 19. Best wishes to everyone celebrating this week.
