Congratulations to Tina Trudeau and Nick Philippe on the birth of their first child, a baby boy born on Jan. 27. His name is Mackenzie and I know he will be well loved by all of his family. He is the first grandchild for Roger and Raymonde Trudeau and Luc and Karen Philippe. Best wishes to all.

Chantal Nugent and Wade Anderson have also welcomed their first child, a baby boy who arrived on Jan. 28. They named him Riley James and he is a first grandchild for Cathy and Jimmy Nugent. When I saw the announcement, it made me feel old, I believe I was . . .

in Cathy’s class at Onslow the year she had Chantal. Congratulations to the whole family.

Birthday wishes are going out to Casey McCann on Feb. 5, to Madyson Belland on Feb. 6, to Sarah Davis on Feb. 7, to Marie-Eve Provost on Feb. 8 and to Kane Flemming on Feb. 9. Best wishes to everyone celebrating this week.

With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching and limited options for celebrating due to the pandemic, it is great to hear that the Quyon Legion is providing a safe way for us to honour the day as well as show our support for the Legion. On Feb. 13, they will be hosting a take out lasagna dinner from 3-5 p.m., with pick-up or porch drop-off options available. Please contact Darlene Morris at darlenemorris@hotmail.com or 819-458-1967 for more information by Feb. 10.
