I hope everyone is staying safe and hanging in there during this current, second wave of COVID-19.
This past weekend, new restrictions came into effect, including the curfew that has been imposed in the province of Quebec. We now must be in our homes from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. except for essential reasons. I have to admit, I am usually . . .
at home by then this time of year anyway, so it isn’t much of a hindrance to me. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to bring this pandemic under control, so I will follow the rules and hope that it helps.
Deepest sympathy is going out to Dianne McCann and her family, as her father Donnie Martineau passed away on Jan. 6. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Martineau family as they grieve this loss.
Happy birthday to John Gibeault who celebrates on Jan. 14. We also have birthday wishes going out to Julia Bernier and Sharon Young on Jan. 1, and to all of the Jan. 17 babies – my brother-in-law Chris Provost, Meagan McCann, Vikki Stanley, Joanne Stanley-McMurray, Tracey McColgan, and Don Desabrais. Happy birthday also to Ryan Nugent on Jan. 18. Best wishes to everyone celebrating this week.
