I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend, even though it was very different this year. It was so warm and balmy on Saturday and then glorious sunshine on Sunday. Despite it being a difficult year as this pandemic hangs over us, I was still able to count . . .
my blessings and find many things to be grateful for. I trust you all did the same with your families this Thanksgiving.
I’m sending big birthday wishes out to my nephew, Caden Provost, as he turns 15 today. Birthday wishes are going out to Ben Duquette, Dale MacKechnie, and Mitchel Trudeau who are also all celebrating today. Happy second birthday to Luna Watson on Oct. 16 and also to Olivia Hudson as she turns ten on Oct. 16 and then we have Henry Timpson turning one on Oct. 17. Happy birthday to him. Best wishes to everyone celebrating this week.
This past weekend, we received the news that we are now in the red zone. Quyon is part of the Municipality of Pontiac, in the MRC des Collines which, along with Gatineau, were designated red zone sections of the Outaouais region for 28 days. While this news is disappointing and nerve-wracking I have to hope that if we do everything in our power to bring the COVID-19 case numbers down we will be able to have more normalcy in the months ahead.
I know I have said this many times now, but hang in there, folks. Wear your masks, keep your distance, stay home if possible, and keep your spirits up. We will get through this.
