The weather was just perfect this past Saturday for the Family Fun Day at Pine Lodge and the Moonlight Ski and Snowshoe hosted there by Ski Pontiac. I joined a group of friends on the . . .

torch-lit trail that evening and we had a terrific time enjoying the fresh air and snow. There were also all kinds of activities for families and judging by the number of cars in the parking lot, I’d say it was a huge success. I’m already looking forward to the next Moonlight Ski and Snowshoe.

My sympathies to my friend Josee Simard and her family, as Josee’s mother, Cathy, passed away on Feb. 11 at the age of 56. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as they grieve.

Big birthday wishes are going out to Finnley and Raelynn Hobbs as they turn two on Feb. 20. Happy 40th birthday to Ian Dagenais on Feb. 21, with birthday wishes also going out to his wife Sarah McKenny as they celebrate on the same day. We also have birthday wishes going out to Tanner Belland on Feb. 22, to Isaac Côté on Feb. 23, to Sara Richardson on Feb. 24 and to Dryden Frobel and Eleanor Foran both on Feb. 25. Best wishes to everyone celebrating this week.

We have a couple of big birthdays in our family coming up. Caden, Danica, Neve and Noah want to send special birthday wishes to Uncle Eric Draper on Feb. 19 and to Aunt Linda Lucas on the Feb. 25.

We are sending good wishes to my aunt and uncle, Mona and Laurie MacKechnie, as they celebrated Valentine’s Day by moving into their new pad at St. Joseph’s Manor in Campbell’s Bay. Wishing them both all the best as they begin this new adventure together.

The Quyon Lions Club will be hosting their annual Pancake Supper on Feb. 25 at the Quyon Legion from 4:30-6:30. Be sure to mark your calendars. It is always a delicious meal.
