Our annual tea in November was well attended and profitable. Thank you to all members for their commitment to this event and to the community for their support. The lucky winner of the raffled basket was Stacey Kearns.
A CWL member laid a wreath at the Quyon Cenotaph Remembrance Day Service. This year was the 100 year remembrance of the ending of the Great War of 1918.
The recipient of the CWL bursary for a graduating student from Pontiac High School was Liam Chevrier-Gibbons. The ceremonies were held in November.
Our Christmas party followed the mass at St. Mary’s on Dec. 9. A delicious luncheon and gift exchange made for a pleasant afternoon for all. A generous donations from the CWL to the parish was presented to Fr. Christian.
Amid all the busy, buying days of the season may we take time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and the “reason for the season.”
Wishing all in our community a happy Christmas and a new year filled with all of life’s good things – health, happiness and prosperity. God bless!
