Local News: Wednesday, Nov. 10 is Thanksgiving and a holiday. All Shawville stores will be closed.

Just as the threshing mill was about to leave the barn of Mr. Ben Howard, of North Onslow last Friday, the straw caught fire and the barn with its contents and other adjoining outbuildings were destroyed.

There are claims of an electrical cure for headache in which an electrical appliance used in the medical world, an ornamental head band is equipped with wires which carry current from a battery. The slight tingle of electricity has a curative effect, according to its inventor.
