On April 2, the MRC Pontiac announced via press release the hiring of Travis Ladouceur as its new County Clerk.
With nearly 10 years of experience working at the House of Commons, Ladouceur will be responsible for, among other things, organizing and coordinating Council activities as well as drafting new bylaws and resolutions, he said in an e-mail.
A graduate of the Université du Québec en Outaouais, with a bachelor’s degree in education, Ladouceur worked as a page at the House of Commons and then as a parliamentary guide.
During his time in Ottawa working as a procedural clerk, Ladouceur handled various assignments for the House of Commons, which included acting as clerk for certain parliamentary committees and assisting in preparing official publications.
Born and raised in Fort-Coulonge, Ladouceur said he is happy to be living in the Pontiac once again and is excited to take on his new responsibilities with the MRC Pontiac.
An avid outdoorsman, Ladouceur plans on making the most of his spare time scouring the region’s finest landscapes and lakes it has to offer.
