CHRIS LOWREY
MRC PONTIAC
Dec. 13, 2018
After being without an economic development officer for a good chunk of the year, the MRC Pontiac has hired Danielle Newman to fill the role.
Newman has spent more than a decade working on international commercial policies with organizations like Global Affairs Canada.
In the course of that work, she has developed a familiarity with the Canadian lumber industry thanks to her advocacy on behalf of the sector.
The MRC said in a press release that Newman is well-positioned for work in the Pontiac given her history working in resource management.
She has a bachelor’s degree in commerce with a specialization in international management, along with an MBA from the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management.
