Twice recently I made a stop with my car and slid. The ice underneath the snow makes it very easy to slip. I am wary, so I am driving slower and praying as I go.
Losing control is not something any of us want to do. Control is necessary in most areas of our life. We need to control our temper when we are pushed by someone, when we sit down to a scrumptious meal, when it’s time to go to bed. But there is an area where it is absolutely necessary to let go. Worry. Most of what we think will happen doesn’t. The only way to gain control over fear and worry is to trust in God. He is all-powerful and loving, the only One who can and will give us peace and rest.
