I would like to thank and congratulate the Board and volunteers of the Shawville Fair for persisting and working hard on behalf of the Pontiac to ensure the Fair continues this year! I know that everyone will have a wonderful time! On behalf of the MRC Pontiac, I wish you great success and ask everyone to please be safe!
Vaughan Bastien, Shawville Fair President
It is my pleasure,as President of the 164th Shawville Fair to welcome the community, visitors, exhibitors, volunteers and sponsors to join us here on Labour Day weekend.
The pandemic may have cancelled us last year but we are back with the best fair we could manage to put together with the short planning time and the restrictions we have to respect.
This year’s fair is dedicated to acknowledging our front line workers who have served and continue to serve the community tirelessly.
We are pleased to have back all the traditional fair favourites including, livestock shows and sales, truck and tractor pulls, demolition derby, midway, great entertainment and of course the delicious fair foods.
Also this year, we are very happy to host First Nations Day. Saturday afternoon and evening there will be special performances, so please join us to celebrate First Nation heritage.
The Board has worked extremely hard to plan and present this year’s fair and on behalf of the Board and the many volunteers and sponsors, I welcome you to our 2021 Valley’s Most Family Friendly Fair.
