Dear Editor,
It is uncertain and yet to be determined how the billionaires in Trump’s inner circle are going to help working class Americans. The notion these oligarchs espouse about government being too large seems to ignore the elephant in the room: the advent of giant corporations has taken over the American economic agenda. Food corporations, big oil, social media conglomerates, the drug industry, the burgeoning AI industry, the automotive industry with its complicated expensive cars. Trump’s inner circle are the leaders of these industries–will they willingly agree to lessen their wealth and grip on power? The foxes are in the hen house.
Trump has gained access to the pinnacle of power by blaming the economic woes of Americans on illegal immigrants, on diversity programs and other state enemies with his hate-filled diatribes. He has even expanded his enemy list to include Canada, as if Canada is responsible for the economic demise of Americans. What is needed is a clearer picture of what is going on, so that the horizon has practical solutions, solutions that the people really need.
