A late evening inferno decimated a local home in Mansfield on June 3.
Flames were already licking the roof of a home by the time . . .
fire crews from Mansfield et Pontefract and neighbouring Fort-Coulonge arrived around 11 p.m. on June 2.
Mansfield fire Chief Patrick Bertrand said five trucks arrived to fight the blaze at 200 rue Amyotte, with over 30 firefighters on hand to help contain the fire. The team took two hours to put out the fire.
The home is “a total loss,” Bertrand said. There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is unknown; an investigation is ongoing.
