More than a dozen participants took to the card tables in the Immaculate Conception Church Hall in Bryson on Saturday for the Lent Euchre Card Party organized by the CWL.
Four tables were in action with sixteen people taking part.
The event was a fundraiser for the Share Lent campaign, an annual effort to raise awareness and funds about poverty in the global south.
The card tournament itself is a long tradition at the parish, with one participant saying his mother played back in the 1940s.
Betty Maloney, the CWL treasurer, and Sue St. Pierre, the CWL president, were hard at work behind the refreshment counter to make sure everyone had full bellies.
The 50/50 prize was won by Jim Stewart.
The event raised over $100 for the Share Lent campaign.
