Not to be left out of the Easter fun taking place throughout the Pontiac, the Chutes Coulonge Park held its annual Easter egg hunt event this past Saturday. Blessed with warm weather and blue skies, event participants combed through the adventure park’s expensive property in search of coloured eggs.

Aside from the main attraction of the egg hunt, crafts and games were also present for . . .

children and the young at heart. Hot chocolate and hot dogs quenched event participants thirst and hunger whilst enjoying the activities.

Tickets for the event cost $10 for adults, $6 for seniors and $6 for kids 6 to 17. Entrance for kids under 5 was free.

Chutes Coulonge Park Director, Tristan Fleming, said that events like the Easter egg hunt were a great way to both showcase the park and give back to the community.

“The intention of the Easter egg hunt isn’t to generate any revenue for us,” said Fleming. “The purpose is instead to put on a nice event for the community and celebrate the partnership between the two.”

In addition to the annual Easter egg hunt, the Chutes Coulonge Park also holds a festival of lights celebration. According to Fleming, the festival of lights celebration typically occurs on the first two or three weeks of December and involves illuminating the park’s grounds with Christmas Lights in celebration of the holiday.

Located in Mansfield, the Chutes Coulonge Park is an equal parts ziplining facility and logging history informaton centre.
