The weather is cold, we’re stuck inside, the groundhog saw his shadow, the sun seems to be refusing to shine, and never mind that the news says we’ll be paying more for everything soon. The only response to all this has to be feeling down, right? Wrong.
Hope says something different. Hope says Someone bigger and higher than our thoughts is still in control. Hope says there has been trouble before and we got through. Hope says spring is closer than we realize. Hope remembers that love is eternal. So, when we remember to love, we look outside of ourselves and begin to give again. We give kind words, we give encouragement. We extend hope to others, and in so doing we prove that love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13:13
