St. Anne’s Parish Catholic Women’s League (CWL) gathered atthe Calumet Island church on Saturday with CWL Council members from Immaculate Conception CWL, Portage du Fort CWL and special guests to celebrate their Patroness Our Lady of Good Counsel and St. Anne’s CWL Council’s 75th Anniversary as a Council. Service pins were presented to members with many years of service to their Council. Service pin recipients from St. Anne’s were Julie Dumouchel, Jeannine and Lyne Tremblay (five years), Lise Lagarde (15 years), Nancy Larivière (40 years), June Larose and Eliane LaSalle (45 years) and Kathleen Ranger (65 years). Service pin recipients from the Immaculate Conception were Barbara Pigeon (new member), Colleen Griffin, Diane Ladouceur and Dominique LaSalle (five years), Teresa Dagenais (40 years), Sophie Ringrose (50 years) and Kathleen Ranger and Margo Newberry (65 years).
