Quyon June 22
Tom and Leona Murdock were in their pickup truck heading west on Hwy 148 last Tuesday afternoon (June 22), preparing to turn left into the Egan Street entrance to Quyon, when an accident occurred right in front of them.
According to Mr. Murdock, a black car traveling north on Egan St. failed to stop at the intersection with the highway and was attempting to turn left (west) when it was hit by a white east-bound car. As he describes it, the black car glanced off the white car before running into the front of his truck. Mr. Murdock, a former captain of the Quyon Fire Department, checked to see if the drivers of the two vehicles were all right before cutting the airbag in the white car and helping the driver get out.
Two employees of Trudeau Collision helped her walk to their office where an ambulance was called. A second ambulance already travelling west on Hwy 148 arrived on the scene promptly. Fire trucks from three Municipality of Pontiac stations arrived on scene. Though injuries to the drivers appeared to be minor, both were taken to hospital for examination.
