Situated alongside Norway Bay’s picturesque beachfront, the annual Bristol Market held its first gathering of the season this past Saturday. While heavy rains did their best to put a damper on the occasion, vendors and shoppers alike turned out in spite of the conditions.

According to event co-organizer and Euterra Market Garden owner Emily Reid, the Bristol Market is the only beachside market in the Pontiac and its location makes it an ideal place to spend a Saturday.

“This is a weekly place for the community,” Reid said. “We do everything we can do to support our vendors so that they can be financially independent and to continue doing great things for the local economy.”

The Bristol Market will run every Saturday for 15 weeks, from May 20 until August 26. Its hours of operation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m..
