A new face at Pontiac Printshop

This photo of Cheryl (centre left) was published in the Sept. 30, 1981 issue of THE EQUITY, when she won second place among all elementary school children of Pontiac County for the points she accumulated for participation in the Shawville Fair. First place was Donna Stephens (centre right) and third place was Tammy Kirkham (left). The trophies were presented by Norma Stewart (right), then a fifth grade teacher at Dr. S.E. McDowell Elementary School.

Dearest Equity reader,

I am excited to be the latest person to join the growing Pontiac Printshop team as your customer service representative. I’ll be the first person you see when you come through our front door.

I grew up on my family’s dairy farm in Bristol. If you had asked my parents they would have said “this kid looooves animals”.  With the exception of my post-secondary education at Ontario Agricultural College, University of Guelph, and a couple of wonderful job opportunities, I have lived my entire life in the Pontiac. Though my love of animals continues, I also take pride in helping people. I have spent my entire career in various forms of customer service roles.

You may know or recognize me from showing cattle or volunteering at the Shawville Fair. Or you may have crossed my path strolling on the PPJ or on our evening walks about Shawville with our Australian shepherd Zoey and our Bernedoodle Molly who also responds to Knucklehead.

For the past nine years I have worked as a natural product advisor at Pura Vida Nutrition Store in Renfrew. I enjoyed learning so much about nutrition and its impact on health and well being.

I have looked forward to working with the Printshop team.  They are certainly a group who love the Pontiac community and are committed to keeping it informed.  Getting to work with such a positive minded organization so close to home is a dream come true.  In the short time that I have worked at the front counter, I’ve been amazed not only by the multitude of services we provide but also by the creativity and colour THE EQUITY team truly brings to our community.

I look forward to meeting and serving you in my new role at the Pontiac Printshop.

Cheryl Stanley
