What about rain?

What about rain?

The Equity

I said I would water a neighbour’s garden while they were away. I secretly hoped it would rain. The weatherman said it would. It seemed like a sure thing. Almost like a promise. But each day I’m walking and I am watering.

There are some instances when even if a promise is given, it won’t be carried out. That is the way of weather for sure, but it can even happen with someone we call a friend. We are human, and because of that, we can and will sometimes fail each other.

There is One though, who has given us His word. It doesn’t change so we have proof. He keeps His promises and always will.  It is better to put our hope in Him. We will not be disappointed. 1 Peter 2.
