Patro hosts spooky halloween party

Le Patro de Fort-Coulonge/Mansfield hosted a spooktacular Halloween party for all ages at the Knights of Columbus hall on Saturday.

The hall was decked out with spooky Halloween decor, and there was free candy for the kids as well as music provided by DJ Martin Leguerrier.

Le Patro coordinator Stephanie Turner said there were also participation prizes, a 50/50 draw as well as a jar full of candies that kids had to guess how many were inside.

Turner said the event was originally scheduled to take place at the Patro grounds, but due to inclement weather they decided to relocate to the Knights of Columbus hall.

“It ended up being a better turnout, we had more organizations participate,” she said, adding that over 20 organizations were there to give out free candy and gifts for the kids.

“I feel like it was a very nice turnout, I think we’re going to do this again next year,” she said.
