I’ve noticed the bees are very active in my flowers. They instinctively know winter is coming and they are preparing. It amazes me to watch their activity and that of the squirrels which are also gathering for winter. Without anyone telling them what to do, they work steadily. Life continues.

And even with all the heat this summer there is produce ready for me to deal with too. I am canning tomatoes and soon I’ll be making grape juice and grape jelly. Most of the apples fell off my tree but I still have lots to cut up and freeze. The pears are ready to can and soon the squash will be ready to pick. The garlic is drying and so is the summer savory. How can a person not feel thankful? The Lord has given us so much. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge.
