I sure hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend with their family and friends. Mike, Jodi, Alex, Mikaela and Ben were here this past Easter weekend. On Sunday morning we attended mass and afterwards we enjoyed a tasty maple brunch at Magnum Outfitters. In the afternoon, we had an Easter egg hunt then we enjoyed a tasty turkey dinner with all the trimmings. The Easter bunny was very generous with his treats.
Congratulations is extended to Travis Burnie and Andres Felipe Padro Cruz, the sons of Connie and Charlie Andrews and Elizabeth del Socorro Cruz Perdomo and Luisa Alejandro Pardo Rogriduez, who were married on Apr. 11 in Bogota, Columbia. May you share many years of happiness.
The Waltham Fire Department would like to remind residents and seasonal residents that open burning permits cannot be issued after Apr. 1 in the Municipality of Waltham. Permits can be issued after Nov. 15 are subject to certain fire safety conditions.
The Municipality of Waltham is keeping a close watch on rising river levels on the Ottawa and Black rivers.
Water levels have increased slowly over the past two weeks on the Ottawa River. However, as of this date, we have not experienced any significant flooding.
