The Municipality of Pontiac (MoP) held its municipal council meeting on Monday. Of note were various resolutions passed concerning legal matters, access to information and public safety.

The council granted a . . .

mandate for the municipality to purchase up to 100 hours of legal services from RPGL Law Firm in all legal domains. The firm is based out of Gatineau.

The council also appointed the director of finance and human resources to be responsible for access to information requests to the municipality for an indefinite period.

The council also passed a resolution creating a committee of public safety. Both councilors Serge Laforest and Garry Dagenais will sit on this new committee.

Other resolutions accepted the resignation of an employee, and the passing of various public works and urban planning resolutions.
