Pontiac Sept. 9, 2021
As part of the “Journées de la Culture,” free events will take place across the MRC starting Sept. 24 until Sept. 26 in an effort to celebrate and promote access to arts and culture.
In a press release issued Sept. 9, the MRC Pontiac announced the project with the financial support of Hydro-Quebec and Culture pour Tous. Funding is for the production of cultural and artistic activities in municipalities of less than 3,000 people.
“I am absolutely delighted to see some cultural activities returning to the Pontiac this year,” wrote Warden Jane Toller in the press release. “Throughout this pandemic, the postponement of many of our usual summer activities has been a great disappointment for many. I highly encourage everyone to take advantage of these free events and support some of the wonderfully talented artists and exciting venues the Pontiac has to offer.”
