The Pontiac Provincial Atom/Peewee tournament kicked off with a special tribute to former Shawville minor hockey star Jimmy Russell. One of the most talented players to ever play in the area, Russell died tragically in a farm accident in the summer of 1972 at the age of 13. Pictured, Bennett Rusenstrom and Jaxon Armstrong unveil the banner created in Russell’s honour at the tournament’s opening ceremony on Friday night.
