Pontiac High School held their spring talent show last week, with students showcasing their various knacks for the performing arts.

Emceed by Sydney Coté and organized by the school’s music teacher Matt Lottes, the evening saw 10 performances grace the stage.

It kicked off with Gavin Murray and Julie-Anne Bennoude singing a duet of “Last Kiss,” before Amber Lacasse played bass and sang The Beatles’ “All My Loving.” Nathan Kluke performed a theatrical monologue, followed by Rianna Perriard playing guitar and singing “Daisy,” an original tune.

Two duos kept the good times rolling, as Stacey Desabrais and Aleisha Marshall wielded acoustic guitars and sang “Girl Crush.” Lottes and fellow teacher Greg MacIntosh played “Father and Son,” with the former on guitar and latter on keyboard.

More drama ensued as Coté, Sara Perry, Liya Deschenes, and Emily Twolan put on a skit navigating the woes of hiring a new weatherperson at a broadcast news station.

Next up, Jaimie Drolet sang Imagine Dragons’ “Demons” before Abstract, made up of Jared Lance, Clayton Murray, Jacob Paré and Stuart MacFarlane brought down the house with a cover of “Sympathy for the Devil.”
