Smallfoot makes strides for outdoor education programming

Co-ordinators for Pontiac High School’s Pontiac Outdoor Education clubs and activities held a movie night at the school’s auditorium on Saturday, raising money in support of their various ventures. The program allows high school students to take part in rock climbing, hikes, canoe trips and more throughout the year, as well as teaching valuable survival skills while out in nature. Families turned out to see a viewing of Smallfoot and paid for entrance by donation, with snacks sold to help fundraise for the activities. From left: Joelene Cormier-Laxdal and Myriam Dagenais ran the snack stand, selling a variety of treats.
