Mary and Joseph (played by Marissa Lang and Ryder Lemay) watch over baby Jesus after finally finding a place to stay for the night. On the way to the stable they were interviewed by many reporters who provided comic relief to the story.
The Equity
The gymnasium at Dr. S.E McDowell Elementary school was packed to the rafters on Dec. 20 with many parents, grandparents, siblings and friends excited to watch the students put on the school’s annual Christmas play. This year’s edition featured a news theme. Pictured, news anchors (played by Laura Graham and Cade Kuehl) steered the production from behind their desk.
Bonnie Richardson leads Mme Nathalie’s Grade 2/3 and Mme. Spencer’s Grade 2 French immersion classes in singing “Les Anges dans nos Campagnes”. During the production, each class would take turns standing up and singing a song appropriate to the part in the play.
