The volunteers at the Pontiac Archives met for their annual Christmas party on Dec. 17 at Café 349 in Shawville. Each member of the group researches different topics that suit their interests, from birth and death notices, to hockey and home children. As a gift, they all received a copy of “Travelling the World”, a book compiled by Venetia Crawford. From left: Pauline Grant, Karen Davies, Lorne Sparling, Dorcas Sparling, Crawford, Monica Dodson, Em Morrison, Karen Smith and Marilon Parent. Absent were Betty Russell, Margaret Firobin and Barbara Haughton.
