Pontiac Midget A Lions
The Midget A Lions had two away games over the weekend. The first was played out of Masham, Que. against the Loups Collines on Saturday afternoon.
These two teams were closely matched with end to end action throughout the game. However, the Lions were able to start things off with an early first goal by Evan Atkinson unassisted. The battle continued and halfway through the second Connor Gilpin was able to get a bullet past the Loups netminder, assisted by Ryan Lang and Hunter Lukacs-Hitz. That was the end to the scoring giving the Lions a 2-0 well-earned victory.
On Sunday, the team headed to Hull for a late night game against the Aylmer Extremes. The team skated well with lots of passing which earned the Lions another victory with a score of 3-0. Goals went to Carson Rusenstrom assisted by Jaden Stewart, Hunter Lukacs-Hitz with help from Nick Curley and the third goal came from Nick Curley who tipped in a shot from Hunter on the point.
The next home game is Nov. 10 at 4:30. Come on out to see some exciting hockey and support our players.
