NORWAY BAY Sept. 21, 2018
Over 70 people joined the Norway Bay Golf Club last Friday, celebrating another season of hitting the greens with live music, food and dancing.
With Simon Clarke performing into the night, the club’s year-end party saw regular golfers and those who just love the food come out, ahead of the end of the season on Oct. 7.
Club owner Helen McCredie said that she used to do the party on a grander scale years ago, in the form of a day-long tournament of Sand Bay residents against Norway Bay golfers.

This year, the bash was reserved to a gathering at the clubhouse, but the smaller scale didn’t mean less of a party. Guests wasted no time hitting the dance floor when Clarke took to the stage, soon enough bopping along to their favourite pop songs from decades past.
The Norway Bay Golf Club held 12 tournaments this season and saw a 25 per cent increase in membership. McCredie was thankful to everyone that shot a few rounds at the club, as well as the many more who enjoyed the meals they’ve served up this summer.
Next up for the club will be an appreciation party for the Henderson’s staff on Oct. 6, as the store closed for good on Sept. 30. Guests are welcome to join the party from 3 p.m. through till 6 p.m. to thank the staff for their years of serving the community.
