A senior citizens’ group kicked off their season of events with everyone donning their Western-best, for an evening of country-themed song and dance.
With plaid shirts and cowboy hats galore, plus Johnny Cash pumping through the speakers, the Blés d’Or de Luskville enjoyed a hot meal before taking to the dance floor at the Luskville Community Centre.

The gathering featured a meal of swiss steaks, mashed potatoes, plus the trimmings, while Paulette Lamoureux added to the country ambiance while on DJ duties.
After the meal, the group was looking forward to a mixture of old school and new country songs, anticipating an evening of line dancing and more.
While the wicked weather forced some guests to stay home and brought the party to an early close, this was just the beginning of their seasonal events. Up next, the group will host a community breakfast on Oct. 7 to coincide with the Pontiac Country Fair at Luskville Falls that weekend.
