Editor’s note: We at THE EQUITY are sad to report that Lillian passed away suddenly on Aug. 21. The following was submitted by her family.
Dear Aunt Lillian,
We are very sad that you left us so suddenly. We didn’t have a chance to tell you one last time how special you were to our family and that we loved you. One thing is for sure, you touched many lives and it reminds us of the quote below:
“You might think you don’t matter in this world, but because of you,
Someone has a favourite mug to drink their tea out of that you bought them.
Someone hears a song on the radio and it reminds them of you.
Someone has read a book you recommended to them and gotten lost in its pages.
Someone’s remembered a joke you told them and smiled to themselves on the bus.
Never think you don’t have an impact.
Your fingerprints can’t be wiped away
from the little marks of kindness
that you left behind.”
Lillian (Zimmerling) Pasch Vanclief (April 13, 1937-August 21, 2018).
Rest in Peace.
