A mother of three children lost her house, her car and all her belongings Monday mornings in a fire in Waltham, Que. Her name is Cindy Morrissette. She has a toddler girl, size three to four, a teenage girl, medium size and a boy who takes sizelarge. She could use women’s clothes extra large. She will need furniture of all kinds, fridge, stove, freezer, table, chairs, TVs, computer, everything. Please give to this worthy cause. For the time being you can contact me but I will find a drop off spot within the next couple of days.
I attended the memorial service at the Anglican Church in Otter Lake on Sunday which also serves as the Baptist Church for the Union Cemetery too. It was a beautiful service and I was able to see quite a few of my relatives and friends. We enjoyed a beautiful lunch afterwards at the R.A. Hall.
I would like to send out a happy 70th birthday to Andrew Narlock who celebrated on Aug. 20. How time flies by.
Anyone wanting spaghetti squash please drop in because I will have a lot to sell. I will also have a lot of cantaloupe within the next couple of weeks.
The next big event is the Shawville Fair and of course the children going back to school so we will have to be extra careful on the roads and make sure we stop for the school buses.
Happy birthday to the following people: Thomas Desjardins, and Natacha Corriveau on Aug. 22, to Sarah Kavanagh and Kristen Kluke on Aug. 23, to Tina Frost on Aug. 27 and to Mario Ladouceur on Aug. 28.
Happy anniversary wishes go out to Sandra and Noel Kelly, Marion and Remi Paré and Shelley and Peter Narlock on Aug. 24.
