Dear Editor,
May God bless everyone reading this article.
Last month, I had to see several health care professionals following my bout with Leukemia for which I am in remission.
First was a visit to my dietician who has been very dedicated to ensuring that my weight decreases and I have a good diet to name a few things.
I have the pleasure to report that the blood numbers are coming down (triglycerides and bad cholesterol). Thanks again Pat Willis.
I had to see my endocrinologist Dr. Keely at the Riverside Hospital. She was the specialist ensuring that I was not in a dangerous position of contracting pancreatitis. I am happy to report that she feels I do not need to see her any more, which is awesome news. And finally my oncologist/hematologist, Dr. Mitchell Sabloff, at the Ottawa General Hospital, gave me the awesome news that I do not have to see him for another six months. This is the first time since I was diagnosed. This made my Christmas.
I still have to see my General Practitioner, Dr. Keith McLellan, for the usual, updating my blood pressure pills, heart health by going to get an echo of my heart to make sure I do not have a sticky valve and finally a mammogram.
I want to thank the Lord for all my blessings. There continues to be challenges but by grace I will get through. I want to thank all of the above who have helped me and continue to as well as my family and friends. I love you all.
