Wyman Women’s Institute Cook Book – An Introduction

Wyman Women’s Institute Cook Book – An Introduction

sophie@theequity.ca

This week we are closing the back cover of Pontiac County Recipes, having now shared all of its recipes, and are jumping right into a new local cookbook, kindly shared with THE EQUITY by one of our readers.

Welcome to the Wyman Women’s Institute Cook Book, published on the occasion of the group’s 60th anniversary in 1973, when “cookbook” was still two words.  We will share its contents on this page over the coming months.

As always, if you recognize a recipe from either your grandparents’ kitchen or from your own, please write to us. We would love to hear about how these recipes have lived on.

But before we get into the recipes, we bring you an ominous warning from the book’s first page.
