This week we are continuing our dive into the Wyman Women’s Institute Cook Book, published on the occasion of the group’s 60th anniversary in 1973.
Winter is here, and that means it’s time to spend lazy Sundays in the kitchen making recipes your grandmother would be proud of. Nothing says winter in Quebec better than a tourtière. We tend to call our meat pies cipaille in the Pontiac, but they’re all really just different sides of the same coin; meat and seasoning inside of a crust. Sounds like a recipe for a cozy evening spent with family around the holidays! Break out some board games, a beverage of choice, and enjoy.
As always, if you recognize a recipe from either your grandparents’ kitchen or from your own, please write to us. We would love to hear about how these recipes have lived on. Or, if you have any recipes you would like to share with us, don’t hesitate to reach out.
