What a surprise it was to receive an unexpected phone call from a dear friend, Charlene Arcand of Brockville, Ont. the other day. Charlene and I grew up in Cornwall, Ont. It is so easy to get caught up in our lives and we sometimes tend to forget our friends.
It was nice catching up on what is going on in each other’s lives. We promised to keep in touch.
Get well wishes, thoughts and prayers are with our Parish Priest Fr. Réal Ouellette who is on a temporary leave.
Well on Sunday, Old Man Winter let us know that he was not going to give up too easily. He gave us another blast of snow mixed with freezing rain.
On Sunday afternoon, Celtic gospel group Rhythm and Grace, the Duketow family, from Lakefield, Ont. performed at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church. These talented musicians provided a wonderful afternoon of entertainment.
Sunday is St. Patrick’s Day, so don’t forget to wear your green and have a good week.
