On Thursday, the Birthday Club met at the Waltham Station. Elaine Tracey was the birthday girl in January. Everyone enjoyed a tasty lunch and lovely birthday cake. It was great socializing but a few members were missing because they were down with the flu.
On Saturday evening, the Waltham Fire Department and the municipal council held their appreciation dinner.
Fire Chief Larry Perry welcomed everyone. Gerard Chassie was presented a retirement plaque for all of his years of service with the fire department. Jason Pilon was presented with the Firefighter of the Year award for 2018. On behalf of the MRC Pontiac, Deputy Mayor Gerard Pharand, presented Charlie Ethier with a certificate Hero Of The Year 2018 for his community work.
On behalf of the Waltham Municipal Council, Gerard presented Fire Chief Larry Perry with a Certificate Of Appreciation, for being an outstanding administrative professional. Everyone enjoyed socializing and a lovely buffet dinner was catered by Cheryl Smith’s catering.
Anniversary wishes are extended to Mary-Kate (Allard) and Allan Duff who celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on Feb. 4. May you share many more years of God’s richest blessings.
