On Friday evening, our family attended a hockey game at the Civic Centre in Petawawa, Ont. Our grandson Alex and his team, the Eastern Ontario Cobras, played against the Upper Ottawa Valley Aces. The Aces tied the game 2-2. Alex made one goal. We were very proud of him. Afterwards, we gathered at Kelsey’s and celebrated Alex and Mikaela’s birthdays. It was a wonderful evening enjoyed by all.

Waltham was saddened to hear of the passing of Keith Lacroix. Keith was living in Ottawa, but was formerly from Waltham. He will be lovingly missed by Donna Lilington, Valerie Gervais (Matt) grandpa to Gabby and Trista, siblings, Sheila (Victor), Brian (Diane), Patricia, Jimmy (Diane), Junior (Sylvie), Theresa (Jean-Marc). Our heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time. Keith we will always remember your smiling face. May you rest in peace.
We were saddened to hear of the passing of Sister Rita “Sister Mary Modesta” Bowers, a sister of St. Joseph. Sister Rita was born and raised in Chapeau and was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Carroll) and Michael Bowers.
