On Sunday morning, at our weekly mass at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church we paid tribute to our war veterans and fallen soldiers. Our Canadian flag and wreaths were carried up and laid around the altar. Betty Ryan read the poem “In Flanders Fields.” This was followed by a moment’s silence, then the congregation joined in and sang “O Canada.” After mass the wreaths were carried out and placed at the cenotaph.
A few hunters here in Waltham have been lucky enough to get a deer. There is still one week left so to all you hunters please be safe.
