This past week, Larry and I spent a few days down at Mike’s helping him with the kids. Jodi and her friend Lyne were gone on a trip to Ireland to celebrate their 40th birthdays.
We were kept quite busy, as Alex and Ben both play hockey, Alex plays baseball and Mikaela takes dance. The household chores also kept us busy. Ben turned 10 on Saturday, so it was nice to be able to celebrate with him. Jodi and Lyne had a wonderful trip and will have memories to last a lifetime.
On Friday, my sister Joyce and husband Jim of Cornwall, Ont. came to visit. On Saturday, Larry and I visited my sister Susan, husband Brent and son Jesse in Casselman, Ont.
I am happy to say that Elizabeth Ethier (Aunt Libby) is home from the hospital and is doing much better. On Sunday Janice and Sid Tedford of Cardinal, Ont. visited Aunt Libby and family.
The annual St. Alphonsus Parish turkey and bean supper, which was held at the Upper Pontiac Sports Complex on Sunday was very well attended.
The moose hunt season opens this coming Saturday. Good luck is wished to all the hunters and please be safe.
Paulette and Yvan Pelletier are celebrating their 31st wedding anniversary on Oct. 9. May you have a wonderful day and may you be blessed with many more years of God’s richest blessings.
This coming weekend is Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. Larry and I are thankful as we will celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary on Oct. 10. I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful thanksgiving with their family and friends.
